The Association of Alberta Registry Agents (AARA) and its member agencies are committed to ensuring confidential, secure services – both at member agency locations and online.

Security is important to you – and to registry agents, who are carefully screened and monitored to ensure that Government of Alberta security practices are followed in every transaction. Security measures in place:

• Registry agents and the Government of Alberta audit transactions to ensure compliance and security. Exceptions are investigated and resolved.
• In addition to Government of Alberta security standards, each registry agent is able to introduce and enforce security measures within his or her own office.
• All registry agents operate within the Computing Security standards established and enforced by the Government of Alberta. This network security was created to protect the agents and the Government from security breaches, viruses and other forms of interference existing on the Internet.
• Online security has been enhanced with new software, strengthened firewalls and tougher virus protection.
